About

Laura Martinelli founded Ehfar in 2013. She was named New England Ernst & Young Youth Entrepreneur of the Year for her innovative approach to videography. She enjoys making narrative films about oddball and isolated characters that explore the human condition through unusual means.

A consistent theme of longing for connection permeates Laura’s work, and through film, she offers audiences her own hand, encouraging them to emotionally engage with her stories and feel part of something bigger than themselves.

Laura graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a BA in Communication. She has traveled internationally for film and video projects and studied at Florence University of the Arts to explore photojournalism. She studied at the University of Essex to pursue film theory and documentary production.

In addition to her work behind the camera, Laura studies acting. She won “Best Actress” at the 2021 New York City Independent Film Festival for Ehfar’s In Colors (viewable here)
